MASSERIA PIZZARIELLO

Masseria Pizzariello, a blend of Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Aglianico, was introduced to celebrate the first 100 years of the Varvaglione 1921 winery.

It is the family members who bring this collection to life. Cosimo, Maria Teresa, Marzia, Angelo, and Chicca — each with their own unique personality — have inspired a distinctive, special wine. And to tell the story of this great winemaking family, two wines: La Riserva 1921, which celebrates the origins, and Masseria Pizzariello, which honors the first hundred years.

Intense red.

Three weeks of maceration at controlled temperatures between 18° and 22°C. Aged for 9 months in large oak vessels. Further aging in the bottle.

On the nose, hints of dried apricot, nuts, honey, Mediterranean spices, white pepper, liquorice and black cherry. On the palate, it is dry, round and complex, with a long finish.

Pairs well with pasta dishes and red meat.
