In the heart of Puglia, at the historic Masseria Pizzariello, the Varvaglione family welcomes its guests. Immerse yourself in the world of wine with a cellar tour, tasting and learning about the importance of soil, microclimate, training systems, and production methods.
FAMILY
It is the family members who bring this collection to life. Cosimo, Maria Teresa, Marzia, Angelo, and Chicca — each with their own unique personality — have inspired a distinctive, special wine. And to tell the story of this great winemaking family, two wines: La Riserva 1921, which celebrates the origins, and Masseria Pizzariello, which honors the first hundred years.
PAPALE
The two great Primitivo di Manduria classics — the winery’s iconic labels. They are born in Contrada Papale, once owned by a pope from Puglia. These wines, the highest expression of Puglia’s signature grape variety, are distinguished by the age of the vines and winemaking techniques.
TERRA
Single-varietal wines from native grape varieties, with a unique taste that reflects their terroir. This collection is inspired by a deep love for its land of origin: Puglia. Each bottle tells the story of Taranto — the city of two seas — and its rich history, art, and culture.
BOLLICINE
The first, a white wine made from Falanghina; the second, a rosé blend of Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Verdeca. From native Apulian grape varieties, two wines for sparkling, special moments.
EVO
The ancient olive trees that watch over Masseria Pizzariello give life to Oro di Puglia. A precious oil, offered in two different blends and bottled in two versions: this is how the EVO was created to celebrate the company’s first centenary. Completing the selection is a balsamic vinegar condiment.
GRAPPA
From the pomace of our Primitivo di Manduria comes Papale Oro Grappa Riserva Barrique. A sensory experience and yet another expression of Puglia’s signature grape variety.

ProWein: Save the Date! 10th-12th March
And here we are at ProWein, the second most important trade fair of the year! We will be in Düsseldorf from March 10 to 12, Hall 16 – F79. We can’t wait to see friends, wine lovers, and our loyal customers again.
