After its international tours, Varvaglione 1921 is now focusing on the beautiful beaches of Puglia to showcase and promote the uniqueness of its 12emezzo Fashion Edition wine collection. From June 30th to August 12th, 2018, the Apulian coast will become Varvaglione on the beach. Five beach clubs along both the Ionian and Adriatic coasts will take part in the initiative. Waiting for wine lovers will be a fresh, aromatic, and lively Malvasia Bianca from Salento, “dressed” in black-and-white polka dots, and a delicate, fragrant, lightly sparkling Rosato di Negroamaro, “dressed” in pinstripes. A promotional corner filled with gadgets from the 12emezzo Fashion Edition wines and 3 Mercedes A-Class cars branded with 12emezzo will accompany the wine tastings and the “Varvaglione on the Beach” CONTEST, offering the chance to win an exclusive Varvaglione tasting experience. Taking part is simple: just snap a photo during one of the events with a bottle of 12emezzo, tag the beach club, and include the two hashtags #varvaglione and #12emezzo. Each week, by random draw, two winery tasting packages will be up for grabs. “The Apulian coast,” highlights Marzia Varvaglione, “is experiencing remarkable growth, attracting over twenty million tourists every year. As other regions have long been doing, we are proud to promote the food and wine specialties of our territory.”

Wine is a powerful marker of local identity, capable of leaving a clear and lasting impression on those who choose our beautiful beaches. The goal of the project is to promote a local wine culture as a cornerstone of our enviable lifestyle.” “This initiative is aimed at an audience of wine lovers and admirers of Puglia, helping to make Varvaglione and the 12emezzo Fashion Edition line known even in seaside settings, creating new pairings waiting to be discovered. These events will serve as ambassadors of Made in Puglia; sea, food, and fine wine, which for years have been winning over locals and, above all, tourists from all over the world. Puglia has grown tremendously, and we must all become more aware of the value of our wines and our land.”
