The 18th edition of "Cibus Parma", the international food fair organized by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare, concluded on May 12, with 3,000 exhibiting companies across 130,000 square meters, 16,000 foreign operators, and 2,200 top buyers. This Cibus 2016 ended with record numbers for the international food exhibition, which registered 72,000 visitors.

Cibus Parma was therefore a great international showcase, where the Italian and Apulian DOP and IGP excellences were able to present their products.
This is the best edition ever, which took the baton from Expo2015 and saw the Italian agri-food sector present around one thousand product innovations, ready to conquer foreign markets and regain positions on the domestic market.
Even though it was a fair dedicated to the world of food, the attention to wines was very lively. A high volume of concluded and well-started business deals was confirmed.
An excellent test for Varvaglione wines, also for the new entry labels, which confirmed their versatility in pairing very well with the typical food products offered by both the Apulia region and the Emilia Romagna region, with pairings like Parma ham accompanied by "12 e mezzo-Negroamaro del Salento IGP" and Parmigiano Reggiano accompanied by "Papale Linea Oro-Primitivo di Manduria DOP", just to name a few!
The entire event was therefore a great success, confirmed by a high turnout and a lot of curiosity from the end consumer.
The Varvaglione winery thanks everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a crucial point for the Apulian wine sector.
Now we look forward to seeing you in Hong Kong!
