After the great success with the public and critics last season, this year as well, Varvaglione 1921 confirms its presence and participation with its wines at the initiative curated by Le Donne del Vino Puglia, entitled “SUMMERWINE 2016,” an annual traveling event hosted this year in the seaside town of Margherita di Savoia, at the Copacabana Suite location.
After the great turnout last year, the association Le Donne del Vino Puglia aims to renew the format with the goal of increasingly attracting a younger audience, an event where wine represents the purpose rather than the vehicle.
Summerwine 2016 will truly be a “wine party,” an evening of beachside celebration featuring tastings of Puglian wines paired with gourmet offerings from food partners.
Wine will be the main protagonist, highlighted by the fact that an “American bar” will be set up adjacent to the runway, where the wines of the participating wineries will be used for mixology: a different drink for each winery, crafted by the bartending team in charge of this service.
At Varvaglione 1921, we have chosen to offer our “Margrande-Fiano Salento IGP” at the “American bar.”
The event schedule is as follows:
– 7:30 PM: start and opening of tasting tables / food points
– 11:00 PM: opening of the American bar with wine cocktails
– 11:00 PM: “party time” with DJ set
The essential elements of Summerwine, confirmed again this year, will be: tasting tables of the participating wineries, 6 food points curated by accredited food partners, and the wine shop for purchasing wines from the participating wineries.
