For this Christmas, Varvaglione’s wine becomes even more special to provide concrete support to Italian families affected by the earthquake. We asked ourselves how to give this Christmas a deeper meaning, how to send a message of solidarity to Italians who are currently facing a difficult chapter in their history.
Our response was that thinking alone was not enough, so we decided to “act.” And what could we offer if not our best wine? Thus was born the idea of a special numbered edition for Christmas 2016, giving those who purchase our wine an extra reason to do so: charity. With the help of the students from the G. Nigro elementary school in Talsano, we created ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY labels for the 1.5-liter bottles of Papale Linea Oro-Primitivo di Manduria DOP; unique labels born from the imagination of each child enthusiastic to contribute to this project.
The bottles are available at our points of sale and can be reserved online on our website varvaglione.com from November 24, 2016, to January 7, 2017; the proceeds will be entirely donated to the central Italian areas affected by the earthquake.
