Once again, Mundus Vini, the most important international wine competition held in Germany, has awarded numerous Italian and Apulian wines.

5,128 wines from 38 different countries and, specifically, from 149 wine regions around the world participated in this 18th edition. They were evaluated over four days by an international jury of 160 tasters, including oenologists, sommeliers, buyers, and industry journalists.

More than in the past, this year the quality level of the wines was truly excellent, as demonstrated by the high number of medals awarded.

Among the awarded Italian regions, Apulia is in the top positions with its 59 wines that were assigned a medal, and among these, those from the prestigious Salento winery Varvaglione stand out, whose wines awarded with a Silver Medal were ‘PAPALE-PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA DOP’ and ‘PAPALE LINEA ORO-PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA DOP’.

The success of wines from Apulia and Salento was thus reconfirmed this year, and we at Varvaglione are proud of it.
