The Varvaglione wines are among the protagonists of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2016, which this year took place for the first time in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

With pride, we are pleased to announce that during the 23rd international wine competition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, two wines from the Varvaglione winery were awarded: the "12 e MEZZO-PRIMITIVO DEL SALENTO IGP" and the "12 e MEZZO-MALVASIA DEL SALENTO IGP", both awarded with a silver medal.

During this 23rd edition, well over 8,750 wines from 51 countries entered the competition and were judged by a jury of 320 expert tasters from all over the world: sommeliers, buyers, importers, and journalists gathered for 3 days to evaluate all the samples presented at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

The diversity of products and tasters is precisely the peculiarity of this competition, which in just a few years has managed to become a true "world championship" of wine tasting.

The 2016 competition took place under the direction of Thomas Costenoble, who admirably coordinated the organization of the tasting sessions.

Obtaining a medal at the **Concours Mondial de Bruxelles** is therefore synonymous with the high quality standards achieved by every single wine company.
