CHICCA
Chicca stands for Francesca, the youngest in the family, and it's the winery's only DOCG: Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale... sweet like Chicca.
It is the family members who bring this collection to life. Cosimo, Maria Teresa, Marzia, Angelo, and Chicca — each with their own unique personality — have inspired a distinctive, special wine. And to tell the story of this great winemaking family, two wines: La Riserva 1921, which celebrates the origins, and Masseria Pizzariello, which honors the first hundred years.
Brilliant red.
Winemaking: maceration at controlled temperature of max 26°C. Fermentation spontaneously stops at about 15% alc. vol. Aged in 10 hl barrels for at least 8 months.
On the nose, aromas of cherries, ripe plums, blackcurrants and pleasant spicy notes. On the palate, this full-bodied wine has a long and pleasant aftertaste.
Excellent with almond pastries and aged cheese.
