Varvaglione scores a double win and takes home two awards: The Crowns from the Vinibuoni d’Italia 2022 Guide e Mundus Vini Summer Tasting 2021.
September begins with two good pieces of news for Varvaglione 1921 in the year of its centenary.
Papale Oro Primitivo di Manduria DOC 2019 received the coveted recognition of The Crowns from the Vinibuoni d’Italia 2022 Guide, and the Salice Salentino DOC 2017 was selected by Mundus Vini during the Summer Tasting 2021.
Two major international organizations, Touring Club and Mundus Vini, have awarded the Apulian winery with two important prizes, recognizing the quality and the work done from the vineyard to the cellar.
The *Vinibuoni d’Italia* guide, published by the Touring Club Italiano, selected only 904 labels from the thousands received; among the finalists is the iconic wine from the Varvaglione 1921 winery, **Papale Oro Primitivo di Manduria DOC vintage 2019**. It is thus among the very few (only 31 in total) coming from Apulia.
Primitivo di Manduria continues to be the flagship native grape variety for the Varvaglione family in a region that has made viticulture one of its strengths in sustainable economy.
«Awards are an opportunity for broader reflections,» comments Marzia Varvaglione. «They confirm that the company is on the right path to offering our consumers products that, in addition to ensuring quality processes verified and controlled by the expert eye of my father and his team, also receive recognition from the guides—an important quality benchmark for all winelovers.»
