A sustainable wine line born from the collaboration between Varvaglione 1921 and the University of Udine
From the vineyard to the bottle, 12eMezzo is the most modern and eco-sustainable project currently on the market bearing the Varvaglione 1921 signature. In the fields, the use of new monitoring technologies allows us to intervene on the plants only where really necessary. This sustainability continues with the choice of recyclable supports from RafCycle and the use of FSC certified papers, a label identifying products coming from forests managed according to strict environmental, social, and economic standards. Even for the cork, the choice was a “green” one branded by Nomacorc.
The Green Line is based on plant polymers extracted from sugarcane, a source of 100% renewable raw materials. The carbon footprint of products derived from sugarcane is very low, thus contributing to combating climate change.
A commitment that, moving from environmental care, extends to the uniqueness of the label, which changes to keep up with the times. The colors have been differentiated to give each bottle its own life marked by recognizability. The finishing work focused on the scents that on each label take the form of elements perceptible to the sense of smell.
The collection of sustainable wines 12eMezzo is the result of a highly appealing project that saw collaboration between Varvaglione 1921 and the University of Udine, who together worked so that, starting from the native grape varieties of Apulian origin, wines with the same alcohol content would be bottled. 12eMezzo fully reflects the philosophy of the Varvaglione family while implementing a modern winemaking process.
