A story is made of time, years, and generations. The story of the Varvaglione family begins with the grandparents and their great love story. 1921 marked the first harvest, and the fruits of so much sacrifice were marketed for the first time under the family name. Those were years of experimentation, passion, and great challenges to overcome in order to produce wines with a distinctive character, a singular expression of a unique territory: Apulia.
In the early 1970s, there was already an awareness of possessing an important wine heritage and the desire to enhance it— the same desire that led Cosimo Varvaglione to specialize in viticulture. He had seen his parents and grandparents take care of the vineyards in the countryside, cultivating a passion for wine and a great love for the family. At the beginning of the 2000s, the fruits and satisfactions of the hard work began to be reaped, and the company started to enter international markets. Today, alongside Cosimo Varvaglione, his children Marzia, Angelo, and soon Francesca work in the company, making it four generations of this family dedicated to the business. They will have the task of renewing the loyalty of the Varvaglione family story to their land of origin, respecting the soil, and to the production of wine, an expression of the delicate balance between nature and human labor.
